Natural, Elegant & Relaxed Wedding Photography
Do you want beautiful, natural relaxed photos from your wedding day? If the answer is yes then you have great style and we're on the same page!
I am a documentary style wedding photographer, telling the story of your day as it naturally unfolds. Documentary wedding photography in it's strictest term is purely shooting the day as it happens, no posing whatsoever!
I, however, do like to take some gently styled portraits of you as a newly married couple, I aim to make these feel and look as natural as possible.
I combine gorgeous portraits with relaxed candids, along with informal formals of your nearest and dearest. You will re-live your day through your images in a way that brings back all the feelings and emotions just as they were at the time.
My aim is to show your personalities and emotions, (and those of your guests!) I spend time looking for those candid ‘real’ moments, these are the images you will cherish! The ones that you won’t know I even took, truly natural and totally gorgeous…
You will have a gallery of photographs that show your day beautifully and naturally, containing all the emotion that filled it. A collection of images flowing naturally to tell your wedding day story.
I love weddings and I love couples who look to be a different with their style, the unique, the fun, the exquisite!
Wedding photography is such an important part of your day and choosing your wedding photographer is one of the biggest decisions to make when planning your wedding. They are responsible for capturing your day and giving you your memories for years to come. Your wedding photos will be what you look back on to remember your most special of days and all the emotions that went into it.
I believe it is so important that you get it right and choose the photographer that has a combination of the style you love and that you personally feel comfortable and relaxed with.
My aim is to tell the story of your day and all the details that are going to make it memorable and special to you.
You have put so much time, effort and love into ensuring your wedding day is perfect, and you will want to have images that you can look back on that make you remember just how it was...
Each wedding is unique, each couple are unique, which is why I like to meet with you, (we can skype if I'm not in your area!) firstly so you can get to know me, and secondly so I understand your requirements for the day and the style and feel of your wedding. On meeting with me I aim to give you trust and peace of mind.
I always make sure that I have details of your day, from times and places, to particular shots you would like. I will endeavour to undertake your requests as much as possible in an aim to make them happen!
In addition to telling your story I love to create some beautiful portraits of you as a newly married couple.
These are the images that are most likely to be the ones you will want framed on your mantelpiece and I love to take time in capturing these. They're amongst the most special images of your day so I like to have a bit of time alone with you away from your guests to capture them. I will look for the place that I feel has the best combination of light and location to give you beautiful couple portraits.
I will guide you throughout your couple portraits so you don't need to feel nrevous or worried about it at all, and most couples say it's one of the most fun parts of the day!
It also gives you a little bit of time on your own together away from your guests after the often hectic build up of the wedding morning and the nerves of the ceremony itself, it's a truly special time...
And it is so worth it when you see the results of your couple portraits in your final gallery!
There will also undoubtedly be some important group shots that you would like from your wedding day, these don’t need to be too ‘posed’ or ‘formal’, I aim to take family group portraits that look relaxed and feel comfortable.
I would describe my work as natural wedding photography, yet elegant. I want you to feel beautiful in your images, and for the whole gallery to show the true essence of your day.
Ultimately, your wedding day is a time for you to celebrate your love with your nearest and dearest, I will be there to capture this as it unfolds, in an unobtrusive manner, having respect for you and your guests at all times.
Shooting the day is only the beginning, post production is equally as important as shooting the day itself and I pride myself with taking time and care to edit each image individually by hand to create a beautiful collection for you. I love this part, seeing your wedding photos all together and bringing your whole day to life!
I aim to have your gallery completed within 10 weeks of your wedding date.
I understand the importance of digital images but I do believe that photographs are at their best printed. I feel they are made to be seen! In addition to offering USB collections I can also design beautiful bespoke wedding albums.
I use Folio for my albums, their quality is beautiful. I have sample albums I can show to you and I'm sure you will agree they really are stunning!
They can be made in a choice of leather of fabrics, and there are even "parent albums" which are smaller versions of your album for your family. They make gorgeous gifts!
If you have chosen to have an engagement shoot beforehand, this can be a good way to get a feel for how we will work together and to build a rapport.
You will see how I work and hopefully feel more at ease when it comes to your big day! I know just how daunting it can feel being photographed but what I want to do is make you feel relaxed so when it comes to your day you will feel happy and it will be an enjoyable and fun experience!
You will receive 20 images on an online gallery, these can be lovely to use as Save the Date cards!
One thing you might want to consider having is a second photographer. I can't be in 2 places at once and having a second photographer gives you added coverage and captures moments that otherwise might be missed.
This is something I would recommend if you have over around 100 guests.
You might like the idea of having the groom preparations photographed, a second photographer can be there to record natural images as the groom's morning unfolds and also take some groom portraits before the ceremony. It's a part of the day that I feel is just as important as the bridal preparations!
During the ceremony itself I will usually be at the front, and a second would be at the back capturing the bride's entrance and walk down the isle from behind, I personaly love this shot!
They give an alternative angle on the day which adds to give a full account of the day.
I am part of a network of professional photographers and your second photographer will be experienced and trusted. Very likely it will be someone I know and have worked with before.
All images will be edited by me so your gallery will be consistent in my style.
Whilst I am a South Wales wedding photographer, I am always very happy to travel. In fact many weddings I have worked on have been across the UK, (have a look at my wedding galleries) so please get in touch wherever your wedding is taking place, I love seeing new places!
