I had the pleasure of second shooting this gorgeous wedding for Catherine Evans Photography in Shropshire this April. I’ve worked with Catherine before and knew it would be an amazing day.
I woke early and drove the 3 hour drive up to Bishops Castle where Catherine lives and together we went to the beautiful neighbouring village of Edgton.

The bridal preparations were taking place at the bride’s family home, with the wedding ceremony in the village church which was literally steps from their back garden!
I loved how guests walked across the field into the garden for drinks before the wedding ceremony and watched as the bride stepped from her door, across a path, directly into the church grounds!
It felt very personal and private, as if being inside a beautiful bubble for the day!
Clemmy was a stunning bride, wearing a bespoke dress and a family heirloom tiara, worn by all brides in the family, it was just breathtaking!

After the ceremony the reception was held in a marquee in the garden, and it was decorated so beautifully… it had a feel of ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ about it, just gorgeous…

We took the time to take portraits of the newly married bride and groom in the garden with the church as a backdrop, I loved this! Such a perfect setting for them!
I love this time of every wedding day, taking images of the newlyweds, showing their love and happiness at their new life together, its a very special moment of the day and for me personally i think it is my favourite.

We had such lovely weather on this day, rain was expected and Clemmy even had her white bridal wellies at the ready! Thankfully they weren’t needed (although she did admit to feeling a bit sad that she couldn’t wear them!)

After the first dance we left the bride and groom to party the night away with their guests, and I have a feeling it would be going on into the small hours!
