Searching for your wedding photographer can be a little confusing. With so many photographers to choose from you might feel daunted. Along with everything else you have to organise when planning your wedding I know how overwhelming it can feel!

But it needn’t be complicated. Follow your heart and choose a wedding photographer whose style of photography you LOVE and very importantly, who you personally like and get along with!

I photograph weddings for laid back couples with a relaxed sense of fun and gorgeous style.

My couples choose me because they love my style of natural wedding photography and their wedding photographs are important to them.

Long after your wedding day has passed, your photographs will hold so much value to you so you must truly love them.

How I work on your Wedding Day

Being fully prepared is important to me so I will always be sure to have the details of your day. From times and places to any particular shots you would like. These details are important so I can create a unique timeline of your wedding day to work to. This ensures that I know where to be and when and I plan my day around you.

I Capture your wedding day as it happens in a documentary photography style looking for expressions, emotions, laughter and tears!

Basically I am never off duty, working quietly and unobtrusively in the background documenting the day as it unfolds….

Your Couple Photographs

In addition to telling your story I love to create some beautiful portraits of you as a newly married couple.

Now I know you will probably be feeling a little apprehensive about this bit! And I know just how you will be feeling but let me assure you I make it feel really relaxed. It’s the reactions of the two of you together that I am capturing. Genuine authentic smiles and feelings between the two of you together which create a true reflection of you as a couple.

So all you have to do is be yourselves and the natural portraits that you want will come. All I ask is for a little of your time and to trust in me and I promise you won’t be sorry.

Group Photos

Gathering your family and friends together for photographs needn’t be a stuffy experience. Mostly they are full of laughing giving you family group portraits that look relaxed and feel comfortable.

I ensure they are organised and happen seamlessly allowing you to get back to the fun of celebrating with your loved ones.

My aim is for you to feel beautiful in your images and for your gallery to show the true essence of your day.
Ultimately, your wedding day is a time for you to celebrate your love with your nearest and dearest. And I will be there to capture this as it unfolds, in an unobtrusive manner having respect for you and your guests at all times.

After your Wedding Day

Post production is equally as important as shooting the day itself. I pride myself with taking time to edit each image individually by hand creating a beautiful collection for you.
Your gallery will be completed within 10 weeks of your wedding date but if it looks like it will be longer due to peak season time I will keep you informed.

Wedding Albums

I understand the importance of digital images but I do believe that photographs are at their best printed. They are made to be seen! In addition to offering USB collections I can also design beautiful bespoke wedding albums.

The company I have chosen for my wedding albums is Folio and their quality is just beautiful.

When you see the sample albums I’m sure you will agree they really are stunning!  They can be made in a choice of leather or fabrics and you can personalise the lettering and wording on the cover. There are even “parent albums” which are smaller duplicates of your album for your family which make gorgeous gifts!

Engagement Session

An engagement shoot is a good way to get a feel for how we will work together. It also helps to build a rapport which we no doubt will!

I know just how daunting it can feel being photographed, therefore an engagement shoot can be a good way to help you feel more at ease. Then when it comes to your big day it will be a relaxed and enjoyable experience!

You will receive approx 20 images on an online gallery that you can download. These can be lovely to use as Save the Date cards! See examples of previous engagement shoots on my wedding galleries page.

A Second Photographer

One thing you might want to consider having is a second photographer. I can’t be in 2 places at once therefore having a second photographer gives you added coverage. Having a second pair of eyes also captures moments that might otherwise be missed.
This is something I would recommend if you have over around 100 guests.
Do you like the idea of having the groom preparations photographed? A second photographer can be there to record natural images as the groom’s morning unfolds. It’s a part of the day that I feel is just as important as the bridal preparations and lovely to have a memory of.
During the ceremony itself I will usually be at the front and a second would be at the back. They would capture the bride’s entrance and walk down the aisle from behind, I personally love this shot!

Having two photographers gives an alternative angle on the day which adds to give a full account of the day.
I am part of a network of professional photographers and your second wedding photographer will be experienced and trusted. They will very likely be someone I know and have worked with before.
All images will be edited by me so your gallery will be consistent in my style.

Contact Me

Please get in touch if you would like any more information about my approach to shooting weddings. I would love to hear about your day!

Over on my blog I have also written a blog post which goes into a bit more detail on how I work on your wedding day. It shows the type of natural lifestyle photographs I take during a wedding day.

Whilst I am a South Wales wedding photographer I am always very happy to travel. In fact many weddings I have worked on have been across the U.K. (have a look at my wedding galleries and blog) so wherever your wedding is taking place let me know!

Take a look at my FAQ page for answers to some commonly asked questions about wedding photography. You can also read some testimonials from some of my gorgeous previous brides and grooms.
