Baby Photography is one of the things I love the most about my job! Capturing those first little facial expressions and those tiny features is such a special time to have the privilege to witness, and to photograph.
I first met Isabel when I booked her as my personal trainer earlier this year, she is just about the loveliest P.T. I could have wished for (I’m such an exerciseaphobe! Is that even a word?!) When she announced her pregnancy I was over the moon for her! I knew she’d make the most lovely mum, and she really is!
When her mum contacted me to book a baby photography shoot for Isabel as a gift I was so excited, I had to keep it quiet during our P.T. sessions at the gym! I though it was such a lovely gift to give and Isabel was so happy to receive it!
George was born in August and when he was just 5 days old I visited him and his mummy and daddy at their sea front apartment in Porthcawl.
He was sound asleep when I arrived, and so tiny! As he was sleeping I thought it a good idea to get some shots straight away as you never know with newborns how long they will stay asleep for!
He gave me some seriously cute expressions as he slept, his pout was just the sweetest! He raised his arms above his head too which gave me the most gorgeous image!!!
I always like to take photos of the new family together if possible during a baby photography session, I think they make for such precious photographs to look back on. Often life with a newborn means that it’s the parents taking photos of the baby either on their own or with one or other parent, it’s not often you get the chance to have a photo of all of you together, so it’s something I like to encourage (although will never insist!)
Having your newborn photography images taken in your baby’s first home is something special too. The rooms soon change as your baby grows and before you know it you have toddler toys around and gone are the newborn things, so having photographs of how life is when your baby is new is something you’ll look back on and love in the future.
This is why I love Lifestyle Photography, I capture you in real surroundings, giving you relaxed and natural photographs. Your smiles aren’t forced, your feelings that I capture are real.
Dan proposed to Isabel on a romantic break away before George was born, what an amazing surprise to have!
So Isabel wanted to get a photo of her wearing her engagement ring as she’d had to stop wearing it for a while at the end of her pregnancy. She went to get it and was so happy that it fitted once again and we got the perfect shot of their three hands together with the focus on the ring. I felt it sort of symbolised “now we are one”, a perfect little family union!
I know, I’m too slushy, I can’t help it!
George was a complete star to photograph and I admit I fell a bit in love with him! He was just so good during his session and such a darling I couldn’t resist a little cuddle at the end of our shoot!
This was the first newborn baby photography shoot I have done on my new Sony camera, and I LOVE how the images came out, the detail I was able to get seriously impressed me and it is just perfect for newborn baby details like those lashes and tiny nails!
I loved this shoot, such a lovely family to photograph and such amazing new parents.
And if you are looking for a Personal Trainer now or thinking about it in the future then I can’t recommend Isabel enough, she is approachable, gentle (yet pushes you when you need it!) and totally lovely to work with.
Look her up at izfit she’s amazing.
I hope you enjoy the images, be warned, you may get rather broody…!
